SLC-100™ Swim Lap Counter
Lap swimmers, counting laps just got easier with the Jorizon™ Swim Lap Counter, SLC-100™. A dedicated electronic lap counter for the lap swimmer.
A large easy to read, bright red 2.24” LED display, submersed in the water shows you how many laps you have completed and can count to 99. The submersed display is visible while you are swimming.
The SLC-100™ takes the burden out of keeping a count of laps in your head and allows you to focus on more important items, like technique, breathing, speed and strengthening or let your thoughts wander to other things.
An easy to press paddle registers counts for each lap toward your goal. As you complete each lap a press of the paddle moves up the count and closer to your completion.
To use the SCl-100™, place the unit in your swim lane with the large 2.24” red LED display submersed in the water and the base unit with counter paddle on the deck. Press the on button and the unit will initialize. Enter the water, and start swimming. At the end of each lap, press the lap count paddle to register a lap as completed. When you reach your desired number of laps congratulate yourself on another successful session. Exit the water, power off the SLC-100™ and fold the display arm back up and secure with the Velcro strap. It is that easy.
The SCL-100™ unit is designed to be around water. While the base unit is not intended to be submersed, it is waterproof enough to survive an accidental drop into the pool, the processor enclosure and cable connections are rated IP67 waterproof and unaffected for up to 30 minutes.
Batteries (not included) and the processor are contained in a waterproof enclosure rated IP67 for up to 30 minutes underwater, so it can survive a drop in the water. The batteries are accessed by loosening four Philips head screws on top of the enclosure. You will need 8 AA batteries to power the unit. Depending upon use, the brand and the type, the batteries will likely last more than a year.
The SLC-100™ base, display arm and swim paddle are constructed using Lexan™ a tough polycarbonate plastic. While not indestructible, Lexan™ is durable polycarbonate material and will survive most drops and bumps. The microprocessor and battery container is made of a tough plastic waterproof enclosure rated at IP67.
The SLC-100™ seven segment display is encased in a clear marine grade resin. This makes it impermeable to water and visible to the swimmer while in the water.
The SLC-100™ is warranted for one year from the date of purchase to be free of defects and will be repaired or replaced at company discretion. The cost shipping is the responsibility of the purchaser.
